pCloud Drive pour Mac

One month ago, they dropped every MacOS version before Ventura, any pCloud version prior to 3.16 just stopped working! But after one month of protest from many users in the forums they've just changed their policy: v4.0.10 restored support for Monterey (which is now the new requirement) and 3.16 restored support for previous MacOS (tested here in 10.14). It's been a muddle as I had to find a solution (tried in a VM, using a distant computer) and I uninstalled pCloud from my daily old computer so now I have to re-set up my syncs, etc. All is working again, hopefully for a long time, now. Apparently, it was a case of an old SSL certificate that came to an end and they didn't anticipate that — or thought it was good enough pCloud would run only on Ventura+... 🙄

No Apple Script, no CLI, no decent shortcuts... And almost every update changes all behavior. (if you resort to Keyboard Maestro) This would be Ok, if not loosing connection all a day. 24/7. We use One drive, Dropbox , iCloud Drive, never a glitch, all versions of pCloud is a disaster on all machines independent on mac OS versions. Support is; 'OK so do reinstall etc'; 'Switch of and On'. Never works. All settings gone all the time... I gave up on getting anything out of support. Basically good with the local encryption... but no.

Current version is 3.13.5, but despite the DL page saying macOS 10.11+, the only recent version working on Intel 10.14.6 is the 3.13.4 M1 version! :-o Finder integration stopped working in 3.13.2 or 3.13.3. They also removed from v3.13 the button "my.pcloud.com" to go directly to your web repository, which was a lot more convenient. So I'll stick to v3.12.2 as long as it works, the interface for the preferences was a lot better (one windows for all the settings instead of two). Luckily, you can find all former versions at https://www.pcloud.com/fr/release-notes/mac-os.html

I don't know when it started, but with the current version (here on 10.14), icon overlays don't show any more and the contextual menu commands don't show neither! The only solution to share an item is to go to https://my.pcloud.com/#page=filemanager... It's noticeable that their web interface is quite ugly (smells like pc spirit ;-)), I prefer Sync.com for that matter too.

Bad news for me today: I discover that my account has been created in the USA (although I'm living in Europe), therefore I can't share folders with a user whose account is stored in Europe! :-o I guess that there was no choice when I created my account years ago, but now you're given the choice when you create it, as mentioned here: https://www.pcloud.com/data-regions/ Changing data region costs 20€, so I'd be better off deleting my account and creating a new one... Bummer.
